Pray for Muslims During Ramadan
Ramadan Mubarak! (Happy Ramadan!)
Today marks the beginning of the month of Ramadan for the world’s 1 Billion Muslims. To grow in their relationship with God they will avoid food, water, and sexual relations from sun up to sun down for the entire month. At sun down they will gather together with friends and family for the iftar meal, the “breaking of the fast”. The atmosphere is similar to that of a Thanksgiving meal for us, but imagine 30 days in a row of it!
Please pray that Muslims around the world would come to know Isa Al-Masih (Arabic name for Jesus the Messiah) this Ramadan. Pray that Jeremiah 29:13 would be true for Muslims, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” Billions are truly seeking God, but in the only way they know how. Please be praying for them.
Christians around the world have created great resources for you to pray for Muslims during Ramadan. The best is called “30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World“. You can see the English and Spanish Versions below:
Finally, here’s a great video on the cultural connections between Arabs and Latinos. It shares some of the reasons why we believe that God wants to use Latinos to finally bring the gospel to many of the unreached peoples of the world.
