Win. Build. Heal. Send.
For 60 years one of the hallmark phrases of Campus Crusade has been Win, Build, Send. It’s definitely something that we want to continue in Destino. As some of our staff members have been thinking lately (in their interactions with other EFM staff), there might be another piece worth adding.
One of our values for Destino on our campus is that students would experience liberating discipleship as a result of being a part of our movement. So many of today’s college students come to campus with significant wounds in their lives. It could be the pain of marginalization, of absent fathers, or of abuse (whether physical, emotional, or sexual). If we fail to address these pains and help the student achieve wholeness in their lives, I wonder if they can really ever be truly sent.
We’re still thinking through how to best live out this value within our movement. But we know that it will be a significant part of everything we do moving forward. Because we want to see students won to Christ, built in their faith, healed from their pains, and sent to do the same all over the world.
May we see a generation of Latinos sent to heal, following in the footsteps of their Savior.
